Did you know that next Wedneday, November 6th, 2013 is a day off from school?
Join us next week at 10am at the Haddington Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia. We will take a look at the origins of the School District of Philadelphia’s budget crisis and the impact that it’s had on our schools so far. We’ll also discuss the outlook for the rest of the year and strategies for delivering successful programming in a resource-strapped school environment.
From 10-11:30am we will:
- Screen Our Schools Are Not for Sale, a short documentary about the school crisis from the perspectives of parents, teachers and students
- Discuss the origins of the budget crisis and how it translated to the in-school challenges we see today
- Look at ways you’ve overcome some of these challenges, and talk strategy for delivering effective programming in today’s school environment
Please check back here for more updates as we get closer to the event. Please forward any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you soon! Please RSVP by Monday, November 4th with your attendance or regrets.
