- During the 2011-12 school year, 241 WePAC volunteers donated more than 10,200 hours of direct service to young students. With The Independent Sector valuing volunteer time in Pennsylvania at $20.86 per hour, our amazing volunteers provided $212,772.00 worth of service to schools last year. Thank you!
- Principals from two of our partner schools are members of our Board of Directors.
- Each of the 26 state prisons in Pennsylvania is required to have a librarian with a Master’s degree and a large collection of books and periodicals. There are no such requirements for schools.
- WePAC has donated more than 40,000 books to its partner schools.
- WePAC is funded entirely through private donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, and faith-based organizations. We do not receive any government funding.
- All of WePAC’s programs are provided at no cost to individual schools or to the School District of Philadelphia.
