WePAC spends a lot of time and effort recruiting volunteers for our in-school programs–and with good reason. The Library and Library Buddies programs are the part of our organization that directly impacts the lives of individual students. But the administrative work that WePAC does also impacts outcomes in our schools.
This year, we hope to generate more awareness of our work, build more partnerships and Philadelphians in the light that is the WePAC library. In order to do that we need the support of folks like you. Here are some ways you might be able to help over the next few months:
WePAC has several events on our calendar as the school year kicks off and throughout the school year. Fastidious organizers and social butterflies–please apply!
This year, WePAC plans to expand both its online and peer-to-peer giving strategies. Even though this is the first year we are trying these new initiatives, we’d like to hit the ground running. If you are someone who knows how to win friends over and make a compelling ask, we’d love to have your input here!
If volunteers open libraries all over the city, but no one knows about it, does it make an impact? Of course it does! But people should still know about the great work that WePAC volunteers do all year ’round. Marketing encourages people to volunteer their time and treasure in service to our students and community and in today’s world content wins the internet. If you are a writer or designer, Facebook-er or Twitter-er, you can have a big impact on this organization.
Job descriptions are on the way for these positions (and you’ll be the first to hear when they are ready), but if you’re interested in any of these opportunities in the meantime, don’t hesitate to email email@example.com.
